Life is too short for mediocre wine.

That doesn’t mean we need expensive wine, but it does mean we deserve special wine, and with that in mind, Bella Cosa Foods offers more than the usual selections available everywhere.

We still offer award-winning and highly rated choices from both Europe and America, but our producers are far smaller than those you can find in a big-box chain. The wine industry defines a “small” producer as one making less than 50,000 cases per year. Some of our producers make just five hundred cases per year, yet we still deliver them at a terrific price.

Why is smaller better?

For wine to have a unique sense of “terror,” to carry the flavors of the particular soil from which it came, it can’t be mass-produced. Each of our wines is special, and especially good.

Yes, we can ship wine!

And we can help with the cost. Wine is heavy, it requires special packaging, and UPS and FedEx both have a signature surcharge (to make sure it’s delivered to an adult), to make the cost per case roughly $50.. a bit less to some places (and for some wines, as bottle weight varies), and slightly more to others.

To offset the costs of shipping, we offer a case discount of 12%. Since most shipments are going out of state, you also spare the sales tax. For a case of $20 bottles, the discount and spared Washington tax amount to $50… covering the average FexEx charge. See our Shipping page for details.

And these really are wines that you can’t get everywhere: there simply aren’t enough bottles brought to America, and we get as many as we can!
